Northmace & Hendon products are designed on the principle of total environmental friendliness for long-term sustainability. The principle takes into account the total energy and material usage in a given time period, and therefore leads to the manufacture of very long-life equipment. This is the converse of the wasteful throwaway culture developed from business school theories of the past, when limited life products were considered necessary to maintain mass production techniques. Northmace & Hendon products are made by batch production. The choice of materials and their thickness, quality and design have proved highly successful in providing life-cycles often several times those of others. We have some customers where Northmace & Hendon products purchased over 20 years ago are still in everyday use. This considerably reduces the total material and energy requirements, thereby making them unusually total cycle environmentally friendly.
